The Middle East Children's Association (MECA) was established in 1996 by Palestinian and Israeli educators dedicated to making the peace process a stable reality for both peoples, by fostering professional dialogue and "people-to people" contacts as building blocks for social change. MECA is the only Israeli/Palestinian organization in the region dedicated entirely to children, teachers and curricula, drawing participants from a wide range of geographic, religious, political and socio-economic backgrounds.
Our method of working serves as a model of cooperation in the region. MECA is committed to equal representation for Palestinians and Israelis at all levels of organization and planning. |
